Submissions which aim to expand knowledge, awareness and insight in the study and interpretation of keyboard music are encouraged. Proposals for scholarly papers, lecture recitals, and discussion topics for leading an open forum on piano pedagogy and/or performance, which are linked to the theme below, are invited:


LEADING NOTES TO EFFECTIVE TEACHING
resolving the past – exploring the future

Proposals for lunchtime and evening recitals are also invited.

Proposals for scholarly papers are required in full. Scholarly papers are to be 45 minutes in length. An additional 10 minutes will be given for questions at the end of the 45 minute paper.

Proposals for lecture recitals and discussion topics for leading an open forum in piano pedagogy and performance are to be presented as an abstract of not more than 350 words.

Proposals for lunchtime or evening recitals must include a recent recording of the performer/s together with the program details. Lunchtime Recitals are to be 45 minutes in length. Evening Recitals are to be 60 – 70 minutes in length.

All proposals (i.e. scholarly papers, lecture recitals, discussion topics and recitals) are to be accompanied by a biography of the presenter of no more than 100 words.

Proposals are welcomed as soon as possible but should be submitted no later than Tuesday 30 November 2010.
